We know that you want your information to be private and protected. That said, as your domain registrar, Enom is required by international rules to collect several pieces of personal information and store them in a public file called a WHOIS record. It includes your name and contact info (but NOT any financial data). To see the type of information that is stored, go to our WHOIS lookup tool and put in any domain, like enom.com. Even if you don’t mind this type of information being public, anyone—including mail, email, and telephone marketers—can use WHOIS records to pester domain registrants with unwanted solicitations. Fortunately, Enom offers a ID Protect to shield your personal information from prying eyes
When your domain is covered by ID Protect, we replace the personal identifying information in your Whois record with generic contact information for Enom itself. No third-party marketers will be able to see your information, so no junk mail or phone calls will come directly to you as a result of the information we collect.
ID Protect must be added to each domain you register. While many top-level domains support ID Protect, not all do. When you go to check out a domain, add ID Protect to the domain and we’ll let you know if that domain is eligible for the service. You can also add ID Protect to domains you’ve already registered. See FAQs
Don’t risk unwanted attention. Shield your personal information by adding ID Protect to your domain today.
Yes - you need three things to have a functioning website: a domain name, web hosting, and site files. You can think of your domain as your street address, your web host as the space you rent to have your business in, and your site files as the items in your office. Your web host provides the server where your site files (including blog posts, images, landing pages, and more) live so they can be accessed at yourdomain.com.
The "shared" in shared hosting refers to the fact that multiple websites are sharing a single web server. Shared is a perfect option for new bloggers or small websites that are just getting started online who need an economical option. As your site traffic grows, you can seamlessly upgrade at any time to a different hosting plan such as cloud hosting.
The Economy Package is our most popular shared hosting plan, as it's budget-friendly but allows you to host as many domains as you like. The Enterprise Plan also includes a private SSL (required for e-commerce) and a dedicated IP, making it a great fit for online stores. Regardless of which plan you choose, all of our shared hosting plans come with unlimited emails, easy one-click installs of WordPress and other popular content platforms, and 24/7/365 expert support.
